The story of the Casa Cepa is the story of an incubator. An incubator that helps a small ecosystem to grow. An onion-like structure does not isolate (the house does not have a fence-wall) but implies relationships, because everything is indirect: the entrance, the light, the glances between spaces. Peeling off the onion means taking off layers that reveal a growing centre: the secret garden and the common space are equally important components of the centre They both constitute the environment that allows the family members, as well as the plants, the flowers and the trees to grow. |
